How we work

We are committed to innovation and disrupting the norm to achieve system change

Innovate and disrupt

Howwework.png

The South Auckland Social Wellbeing Board use a test and learn approach in order to innovate and disrupt the system. This is done through prototyping opportunities that have the potential to positively impact our South Auckland community. Prototyping enables us to be fluid and responsive to the needs of our communities and partners. Our approach is supported by an in-house evidence and insights team who capture learnings and enable us to make a case for change for collective action and to inform local and national decision making.

Principle driven design

Achieve equitable access for our community

Optimise and enhance existing services not duplicate or create new services

Incorporate whānau voice into design and delivery

Enable flexible approaches that reduce fragmentation and duplication and enable thriving whānau

Promote leaderful practice that places respectful and trusted relationships at the heart

Responsibility to respond to issues arising in our community in a timely manner e.g. COVID

Promote Iwi, community and NGO leadership

Evidence & Insights, and the Theories of Change underpin the design, and informs decision making
